Colour me Warm.

I can't stop admiring everyones jackets and coats, the bulky scarves wrapped round and round girls' necks, new riding boots to match vintage hats...
I'm feeling some sort of convergence of Grace Kelly in High Society and Katherine Hepburn in her prime about this Winter style that's emerging...All the pants, the hats, the round collars, the bulky shoulders, the buckles...
Anyway here's some of my favorite bloggers who are starting into their Winter outfits...

Must be a Pony.

There is no better attraction to a book than a penguin print.
I recently went a little bit crazy with impulse buying re: penguin post cards.
But they are so brilliant. I couldn't help myself.
And although they are post cards, their loveliness are instead gracing my own walls rather than peoples postboxes.

This is one of my favourites...

There must be a Pony!
Once upon a time a psychiatrist had twin sons age eight. One was an incurable pessimist-the other an incurable optimist. Their father became alarmed and decided to try an experiment. Christmas Eve he filled the pessimist's room with everything a boy could want for; and he filled the optimist's room with horse manure. Early next morning he went to observe their reaction. The pessimist sat amongst the toys, books, clothes, sporting goods-just sat there-eyeing the presents suspiciously, trying to figure out what the catch was. His father sighed and walked towards the other boy's room. When he peeked in the door he saw him standing waist high in the middle of all the manure, shoveling it up in the air over his shoulder and laughing-as you would say, Como-like a fiend! "Son," the father said, "what's the matter with you? What are you so happy about?" The boy turned, still laughing, and replied, "Gee, Dad, I figure with all this horse shit-there must be a pony!"

Be entirely Bonkers.

Last night I watched Videodrome...heard of it? There was something inside of me that was so easily entertained by this film. No doubt the genre 'body horror' concerned me initially, but the weirdness entwined with the normality made it...something perfect. If you watch it you may find my description of it being 'something perfect' a bit beyond what most would describe it as...but if you feel like something a bit weird to be glued to the screen to. It's perfect.

*I'm not sure if this constitutes as the documentation of something lovely. But being entirely bonkers is perhaps the point for this post...
