This is a project by Kirsten Becken called Plain. I think it's slightly wicked. She asked other artists to draw on her lovely photographs...and this is what came from it...

 This is the sort of art I love to love. 

It's as if fantasy meets beauty in a sort of Tim Burton/ Lewis Carroll kind of way.

Aro Bus Stop Boutique.

As I was walking along my Aro St on my morning way to work, I noticed a girl tagger in this bus stop. I not only thought she was awesome for the fact that she was a girl tagger, but she also had the most wicked colorful-grunge-esque style and the most gorgeous smile. From that morning I couldn't wait to walk home at the end of the day to see what she had created

...blatantly awesomeness.

(This is also a random piece of brilliance found on the streets of Wellington, made me laugh...)

To Draw or...

Drawing should be attempted. Because it's fun. And because all the weird creatures you create are little bits of you, and that's wonderfully charming and delightfully insightful.
